We believe in healthy democracy through transparency and accountability. While politics can be passionate, we expect all members to engage respectfully and constructively. These guidelines help us maintain a community where diverse perspectives can coexist and meaningful dialogue can flourish.
Treat all members, politicians, and public figures with respect. You can disagree with someone's policies or actions without resorting to personal attacks, insults, or derogatory language. Focus on ideas and actions, not individuals.
We have zero tolerance for hate speech, discrimination, or harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Everyone deserves to participate in democracy without fear of abuse.
Avoid profanity, vulgar language, and explicit content. Political discourse can be passionate without being crude. Use language you would be comfortable with your family, colleagues, or community members reading.
Never share private or personal information about individuals without their consent. This includes home addresses, phone numbers, private email addresses, family information, or any content intended to harass, intimidate, or endanger someone's safety.
Threats of violence, calls for harm, or encouragement of illegal activities are strictly prohibited. This includes threats against politicians, public figures, or other community members. Such content will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to authorities.
When making factual claims, especially serious allegations, provide credible sources and evidence. Misinformation and deliberately false content harm democratic discourse. Link to reputable sources when possible, and be open to correction if you make an error.
Don't use Welobby to spam, advertise unrelated products, or promote personal ventures. Content should contribute to political discourse and community engagement. Repeated off-topic posts or attempts to manipulate the platform will result in account restrictions.
Only share content you have the right to share. Don't post copyrighted material without permission, and always credit sources appropriately. Fair use for commentary and criticism is acceptable, but wholesale copying is not.
If you see content that violates these guidelines, report it to our moderation team rather than engaging with it. Don't respond to trolling or harassment with more of the same. Let our team handle violations fairly and consistently.
Each person may only maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, evade bans, or artificially amplify your voice violates our terms. Coordinated inauthentic behavior undermines the integrity of the platform.
Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination depending on the severity and frequency of violations. Our moderation team reviews reports promptly and fairly.
Serious violations such as threats, doxxing, or illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement authorities. We take the safety of our community seriously.
These guidelines may be updated from time to time. We'll notify the community of significant changes.
